Fix something in a post or page

WordPress2 minutesChangesTested 14 Oct 2026
Paste into ChatGPT or ClaudeOn the About page, change “sinse 2019” to “since 2019”. Change nothing else.

Changes your site. Standard asks you first in wp-admin; Trusted does it directly.

What happens

Section titled “What happens”
  1. Your assistant finds the page with search_content and reads it with get_content.
  2. It sends only the changed field with update_content, together with the version it read.
  3. If someone edited the page in the meantime, WordPress refuses the change and your assistant tells you, so nothing is overwritten.

Try also

Section titled “Try also”
  • “Shorten the excerpt of my latest post to one sentence.”
  • “Retitle the spring post to ‘Spring prices, explained’.”

Good to know

Section titled “Good to know”
  • Edits to a draft happen on their own at Standard. Edits to something already published wait for your yes.
  • The author, post type and status stay as they are.
