Making sure they run
Automations are woken by WP-Cron, which WordPress runs when someone visits your site. On a quiet site, or one with WP-Cron switched off, tasks run late or not at all. The page tells you when that happens.
The Cron card at the top of Automations shows the status and the next run.
Use server cron
Section titled “Use server cron”For dependable timing, let your hosting call AI Puffer every minute. You don’t need WP-CLI or wp-cron.php.
- Open the Cron card and select Enable server cron.
- Copy the command shown. The secret in it is shown only once.
- Add it to your hosting’s scheduler (cPanel, Plesk, or a Linux crontab) to run every minute.
- Back in AI Puffer, select Check connection.
The card then shows the last run and its result. Rotate secret issues a new one; Disable goes back to WP-Cron.
How much runs at a time
Section titled “How much runs at a time”Each run handles a short slice of work (about 20 seconds with WP-Cron, 50 with server cron) and then makes room for the next. Long batches simply continue on the next run.
