Create a content type with its own fields
Paste into ChatGPT or ClaudeCreate a Case Studies content type with a numeric project_budget and a text client_name. Add one draft with budget 1250.50 and client Example Studio, then read back its fields.
Changes your site. Standard asks you first in wp-admin; Trusted does it directly.
What happens
Section titled “What happens”- Your assistant registers the content type with
ai-puffer/register-content-typeand each field withai-puffer/register-content-field. - It creates a draft through the REST API with
write_rest_routeand fills in the fields. - It reads the draft back, so you can see the budget and client name were saved.
Try also
Section titled “Try also”- “Add a yes/no field called featured to Case Studies.”
- “List the content types and fields you’ve created.”
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Fields are text, whole numbers, numbers or yes/no. ACF field groups are separate.
- Existing types and fields are never replaced, and definitions can’t be deleted or changed to another type from chat.
- Only an administrator can define structure; editing items follows normal WordPress permissions. At Standard, each new type and field asks first.
- AI Puffer has to stay active for the type to exist. Switching it off doesn’t delete the content.
