Approvals, activity and pausing

At Standard, changes to live content, deletes and changes through other plugins go through these five steps; drafts and new images run straight away. At Trusted, steps 2 and 3 are skipped: supported changes run straight away and are still logged.

A change waits until you approve it. Your assistant gives you a link; you can also find waiting changes under AI Puffer › Dashboard, in the Website activity view, filtered by Needs you. The Manage my website panel shows them too, with a Review button.

The approval page shows what will change. For changes through another plugin, AI Puffer shows exactly what is sent, but it can’t know everything that plugin will do with it. Approve the changes you expect.

Every read and every change your assistants make is listed under AI Puffer › Dashboard, in the Website activity view: who asked, as which user, what happened, and when. Search it or open any row for details. It’s kept for 90 days.

If a change didn’t go through, open its row to see why. The details usually say which part of the request the site refused. If your site’s data changed after the preview, they show how many items were expected and how many were found. The approval link page shows the same reason.

If your assistant says your website is busy, nothing ran and no website action was used. Wait at least 5 seconds, then ask again. Send one request at a time: sending many requests to the same site at once makes this more likely.

If a connection drops during a change, ask your assistant to check the existing request before trying again. AI Puffer never repeats the change automatically.

The Manage my website panel shows A request was interrupted. Tell us whether it went through. Select Review, check the affected post, product or other item, and record what happened.

Further changes wait until you review the interrupted request. Your assistant can still read your site. Check what happened before repeating a change, so you don’t make it twice.

All of this is in the Manage my website panel (AI Puffer › Settings › Connections, or Manage on the Dashboard’s Website actions card).

  • Pause stops every change on this site. Assistants can still read. Resume turns changes back on.
  • ⋯ › Disconnect next to an assistant removes that assistant.
  • Disconnect next to Pause turns website management off: it disconnects every assistant and stops website management on this site, after you confirm. Your chatbot and other AI features aren’t affected.

If access is disconnected during a request

Section titled “If access is disconnected during a request”

Reconnect only if you want the assistant to regain access. Disconnecting does not undo work that has already started. If you’re unsure whether a change finished, check the website before trying it again.
