Chatbot

The chatbot talks to your visitors. It answers from what you teach it (your pages, posts, products, notes and files) and from the AI model you choose. It can sit in a corner of every page, appear only where you place it, or live inside a page.

This is a different chat from website management: there, you talk to ChatGPT or Claude to run your site. Here, your visitors talk to your site.

Where it is

In wp-admin, open AI Puffer and choose Chatbots in the top bar. If you don’t see it, switch the module on under Settings › Tools › Chatbots.

The screen has your settings on the left and a live Preview on the right, which you can switch between Desktop and Mobile. Settings are grouped in four tabs: Answers, Look, Features and Publish. Everything saves as you go; there’s no Save button.

Your first chatbot in five minutes

AI Puffer creates one for you, called Customer Support.

1. Answers: pick the AI model. With AI Puffer Cloud connected, choose a Cloud model and it runs on your AI credits, with no API key.
2. Answers › Knowledge: choose Learn my website, then Start learning. It reads your published pages and posts.
3. Answers › Instructions: say who it is and how to help, or pick a template such as Customer support.
4. Look: choose a colour and write the greeting.
5. Publish: choose Every page. It’s live. Select View your site to try it.
