Keep utility pages out of search
Paste into ChatGPT or ClaudeSet SureRank noindex on my Thank You and Login Help pages so search engines are asked to leave them out of search and SureRank leaves them out of its sitemap. Identify the exact page links first and ask me if a name is ambiguous. Change only each page’s noindex setting. Preserve the content, publication status and other SEO fields. Read the settings back, check the served robots tags and sitemap where possible, and report anything you could not verify.
Changes content or settings on your site. See the recipe below for approval requirements. Read only cannot make changes.
What happens
Section titled “What happens”- Your assistant identifies the exact pages and reads their current SEO settings, asking you about ambiguous matches.
- It changes only the selected pages’ SureRank noindex setting.
- It reads back both settings and checks the served robots tags and sitemap when available, reporting saved values and public checks separately.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Requires AI Puffer 2.5.22 or later and WordPress 6.9 or later with the Abilities API. Tested with SureRank Free 1.10.3. An administrator must enable SureRank > Tools > MCP > Enable MCP and save, then connect ChatGPT or Claude through AI Puffer. The separate MCP Adapter setup and an Application Password are not needed.
- Read only cannot save changes. At Standard, you approve each protected change in WordPress; at Trusted, supported changes run directly. Ask for a proposal first when you want to review wording in chat.
- Replace the example page names with the pages you want to exclude. Noindex does not make a page private or immediately remove an existing search result.
- No global robots.txt or sitemap settings are changed. If a cached sitemap still lists a page, your assistant reports that instead of claiming removal is complete.
- Restoring indexing is a separate request. Other site-wide indexing rules can still apply.
