Fix a post’s social preview
Paste into ChatGPT or ClaudeFix the SureRank social preview for my Compact oak desks post. Set the Facebook title to “Compact oak desks for small offices” and description to “See practical ideas for choosing a compact desk.” Use the existing image I choose from my media library; ask me to choose if I have not identified one. Make X (Twitter) use the same preview. Change only those social settings and preserve the post content, publication status and search SEO fields. Read back the settings, check the rendered social tags where possible, and report anything unverified.
Changes content or settings on your site. See the recipe below for approval requirements. Read only cannot make changes.
What happens
Section titled “What happens”- Your assistant identifies the exact post, reads its social settings and confirms your chosen existing library image.
- It saves only the requested Facebook fields and the setting that makes X use Facebook’s preview.
- It reads back the settings and checks the served social tags when available, reporting anything it could not inspect.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Requires AI Puffer 2.5.22 or later and WordPress 6.9 or later with the Abilities API. Tested with SureRank Free 1.10.3. An administrator must enable SureRank > Tools > MCP > Enable MCP and save, then connect ChatGPT or Claude through AI Puffer. The separate MCP Adapter setup and an Application Password are not needed.
- Read only cannot save changes. At Standard, you approve each protected change in WordPress; at Trusted, supported changes run directly. Ask for a proposal first when you want to review wording in chat.
- Replace the example post title and preview wording with your own before sending. Choose an existing same-site library image; importing an external image is a separate action and can create another media copy.
- When X uses Facebook, SureRank’s reader can still show inherited X text. Check the rendered tags before changing separate X fields.
- Social networks may cache old previews after your website’s tags change. A saved setting does not prove a network has refreshed its preview.
