Plugins › SureRank SEO
Manage SureRank SEO from chat.
Check SEO, write search descriptions, set noindex on selected pages and choose a post’s social preview from ChatGPT or Claude. Uses SureRank’s native actions and the administrator you connect.
Tested by us on 31 October 2026 with SureRank Free 1.10.3, from ChatGPT and Claude. Requires AI Puffer 2.5.22 or later.

Set it up
- Use AI Puffer 2.5.22 or later with WordPress 6.9 or later and the Abilities API. These workflows were tested with SureRank Free 1.10.3.
- In SureRank, open Tools → MCP, turn on Enable MCP, and save.
- Connect ChatGPT or Claude through AI Puffer as an administrator.
SureRank also shows instructions for its separate MCP server. When connecting through AI Puffer, you do not need that MCP Adapter setup or an Application Password. If your assistant finds no SureRank actions, check the MCP switch, your installed versions and the connected WordPress user.
At Standard, protected changes wait for your approval in WordPress. At Trusted, supported changes run directly. You can still ask your assistant to propose wording for review before it saves anything. Read only cannot save changes.
One prompt can involve several website actions. Replacing a search description does not change the post’s content or publication status, but a social description that inherits it can follow the new wording.
What to expect
- A generated description can pass an SEO check without being a custom description. SureRank merges saved values with defaults, so an identical value can be uncertain. Preserve custom descriptions and skip uncertain cases instead of guessing.
- A saved value and a public check are different evidence. Your assistant should report whether it checked the rendered tags and sitemap or only read the saved settings.
- Noindex asks search engines not to index a page. It does not make the page private or immediately remove an existing result. Check both the served page’s robots tag and SureRank’s sitemap; report cached or unavailable output separately.
- Prefer existing same-site media for social previews. Importing an external image is a separate action and may add a copy to your library.
- A custom robots.txt replaces the generated file, including its Sitemap line. A read-only SEO check does not change it.
- When X (Twitter) uses Facebook, the SEO reader can still show inherited X text while the page renders the correct shared preview. Verify the served tags before changing separate fields. Social networks may cache an old preview after your site’s tags change.
- An archive’s SEO description is separate from its native WordPress category or tag description. Only the selected archive’s search description changes.
- Your assistant reports when it cannot inspect public output. Verification does not require enabling Headless REST or changing security settings.
- SEO checks do not guarantee rankings, indexing, a search-engine recrawl or a refreshed social-network preview.
