Find and replace a website URL
Paste into ChatGPT or ClaudePreview replacing http://old.example.com with https://example.com without saving changes. Tell me how many matches would change, and wait for my confirmation.
Changes content or settings on your site. See the recipe below for approval requirements. Read only cannot make changes.
What happens
Section titled “What happens”- Your assistant previews the replacement and reports the number of matches without saving changes.
- After your confirmation, it applies the replacement while preserving the format of stored settings.
- On large sites, it processes the matches in batches.

Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Create a backup first. See Back up your site. A site-wide replacement cannot be undone automatically.
- This covers posts, comments, categories, tags and settings, not custom tables created by other plugins.
