Update stock from a CSV
Paste into ChatGPT or ClaudeUse this small CSV to update stock on existing simple products only. Match each SKU exactly, skip missing SKUs without creating products, and read back the quantity and stock status for each change. Leave prices and descriptions alone.

What happens
Section titled “What happens”- Your assistant reads the CSV and looks up each SKU, checking for an exact match.
- It updates each matching product separately and skips SKUs it cannot find.
- It reads the saved stock quantities and stock status back and reports a result for every row.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Replace the example rows with your own SKUs and quantities. Tested with two existing simple products and one missing SKU, with stock management already enabled.
- A quantity of zero made the test product out of stock. Prices and descriptions were preserved.
- Each product update is a separate website action; reads may use additional actions. This is not one bulk action or an uploaded-file importer.
- Large files, variation CSVs, duplicate rows and invalid quantities were not tested. Accepted on AI Puffer 2.5.14 and WooCommerce 11.2.1 in ChatGPT and Claude.
