Create a draft product from CSV
Paste into ChatGPT or ClaudeCreate one simple draft product from this CSV row, with stock management enabled. Check the SKU first; if it already exists, skip it without updating it or creating a duplicate. Read back the saved type, status, SKU, price and quantity. Do not publish.

What happens
Section titled “What happens”- Your assistant reads the pasted row and checks for an existing product with the exact SKU.
- If the SKU is new, it creates one simple product as a draft, with the supplied price and managed stock quantity.
- It reads the saved product back. If the SKU already exists, it reports that it skipped the row.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Tested with one row and a repeat request that correctly skipped the existing SKU in ChatGPT and Claude, using AI Puffer 2.5.14 and WooCommerce 11.2.1.
- Your assistant parses the CSV in chat and uses individual product actions. This does not run WooCommerce’s uploaded-file import engine.
- Large spreadsheets, variable products, images and arbitrary column mappings were not tested. For one product without CSV, see Add a new product.
