Add a required field
Paste into ChatGPT or ClaudeAdd a required Order number text field immediately before the message box in my Contact Form 7 Returns form. Identify the exact form first. Preserve all existing field names, options, wording and layout, plus mail templates, visitor messages and other settings. Read back the field and confirm that it is required. Do not submit the form or send email.
Changes content or settings on your site. See the recipe below for approval requirements. Read only cannot make changes.
What happens
Section titled “What happens”- Your assistant identifies the exact form and reads its complete template and current version.
- It preserves the existing template and adds only the requested required field.
- It reads the saved form back and checks the field name and required status.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- Requires AI Puffer 2.5.22 or later, Contact Form 7 6.1.7 or later and WordPress 6.9 or later with the Abilities API. CF7 has its own WordPress/PHP requirements. Uses the permissions of the WordPress user you connect. Available in AI Puffer Free and paid editions.
- Read only cannot change forms. Standard requires WordPress approval; Trusted follows the selected policy. Saved configuration does not prove inbox delivery.
- Adding a field does not automatically add its value to the notification email. Ask separately if you want that mail-template change.
- Template edits support common text, email, phone, URL, number, date, textarea, selection, acceptance and submit tags. Forms containing custom, hidden, upload or payment tags need the native editor for template changes.
