Before you start

Use AI Puffer 2.5.22 or later, WordPress 6.9 or later with the Abilities API, and Contact Form 7 6.1.7 or later. CF7 has its own WordPress and PHP requirements; a form edit does not require upgrading it.

Connect the WordPress user who can manage the forms. This integration is available in AI Puffer Free and paid editions, with normal website-action allowances. You do not need another automation plugin, API key or MCP Adapter.

What you can ask

  • “Check my contact forms without changing anything.”
  • “Create an enquiry form with required name and email fields.”
  • “Add a required order-number field to my returns form.”
  • “Show me a revised primary notification before saving it.”
  • “Change this form’s success and required-field messages.”

Your assistant identifies the exact form, reads it and uses its current version for changes. It preserves settings you did not ask to change. If another edit changes the form or another user has it open, the save is refused until you review a fresh read.

Creating and editing

For a new form, choose the notification recipient and sender. Use an address on your site’s domain as the sender; the visitor’s email can go in Reply-To. Your assistant returns the saved form ID and shortcode. Creating the form does not insert it into a page.

Template edits support common text, email, phone, URL, number, date, textarea, selection, acceptance and submit tags. If the template contains custom, hidden, upload or payment tags, edit its template in the native CF7 editor. You can still request supported mail or message changes without replacing that template.

Adding a field does not automatically add its value to the notification email. Ask for that mail-template change when you want it.

Primary mail edits preserve omitted values, other headers, attachments and Mail (2). Visitor-message edits preserve other messages. Additional settings, Mail (2) and attachment configuration are preserved rather than edited by this integration.

Permissions and verification

Read only can inspect forms. Standard asks for WordPress approval before saving changes. Trusted follows the selected policy and the connected user’s native permissions. Requested copy reviews still happen before saving.

Saving or inspecting a form sends no email. CF7’s configuration warnings check syntax; they do not prove that mail reached an inbox. Any test submission is a separate action that can send notifications and run other installed integrations.

Contact Form 7 does not store submitted messages itself. Submission-history access through Flamingo is a separate integration.
