A WordPress MCP server for ChatGPT and Claude.

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is how AI assistants use outside tools. AI Puffer makes your WordPress site one of those tools. ChatGPT or Claude can read it, write to it and manage it, as a WordPress user you choose and within limits you set.

Server addresshttps://mcp.aipuffer.org/mcp
Sign-inOAuth. No password.

Usually you never type it: connecting from wp-admin sets it up. Some apps ask for it once.

How it connects

  1. 1Your assistantChatGPT or Claude decides which tool to use for what you asked.
  2. 2AI Puffer’s MCP serverSigns your assistant in with OAuth, checks every request and your monthly allowance, and passes it to your site.
  3. 3AI Puffer, on your siteDoes the work as the WordPress user you picked, at the safety level you picked, and writes it to the activity log.

No WordPress password or Application Password is ever asked for or stored. You can take an assistant’s access away in one click.

What your assistant gets

  • 27 MCP tools: posts and pages, images, your plugins, and your account.
  • 125+ WP-CLI commands: updates, users, settings, cache and the database, with no SSH. On one site or up to 50 at once.
  • The abilities and REST routes your other plugins share, apart from settings, users and bulk changes. Untested unless we mark them tested. Which plugins we’ve tested.

Which apps

We test with Claude and ChatGPT, including their web apps. Other apps that connect to remote MCP servers with OAuth should work too, such as Cursor or Claude Code. We haven’t tested those ourselves yet. Step-by-step: connect Claude, connect ChatGPT.

Why not wire it up yourself?

You can connect WordPress to an MCP app by hand, with an Application Password and a config file. AI Puffer is for when you’d rather click Connect: no password to store, nothing to configure on your server, and the things you’d want anyway already built in.

  • Safety levels. Read only, Standard (you approve changes in wp-admin) or Trusted (it works unattended). How they work.
  • An activity log on your site, with who asked, as which user, and what happened.
  • One switch that pauses every change on the site.
  • Tested recipes for WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, Elementor, forms and more, in the cookbook.
