Before you start
The recipes below work with Charitable Free 1.8.13.2. To allow changes, turn on AI write access in Charitable › Tools › AI MCP. Reading campaigns and reports works without that switch. Your connected WordPress user still needs the appropriate permissions.
Donations and campaigns
- Reports use the site currency and date range in the site timezone. Completed fundraising totals exclude pending and failed donations.
- Top-donor reports need both reporting and donor-data permissions. Other donor management and donation-form editing require Charitable Pro and are not tested here.
- Give your campaign a goal, description and calendar end date. Say whether it should be published or saved as a draft, and check the returned status.
- At Standard, campaign creation requires WordPress approval.
- A new campaign does not configure your payment gateway. The recipe tests cover campaign creation and reporting, not collecting live payments.
